Hockey Development & Coaching Staff
The program's commitment to development is led by staff with high-level playing experience.
Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory School is proud to announce the hiring of Alex Handy as the new Head Hockey Coach.
Alex Handy
A native of Carmel, Indiana, Coach Handy attended Park Tudor School, where he played AAA hockey before being drafted to the Indiana Ice of the United States Hockey League. He played under head coach Jeff Blashill, who is now the head coach of the Chicago Blackhawks. During his time with the Indiana Ice he was part of a team that won the Clark Cup championship, an experience that shaped his understanding of team culture, accountability, and what it takes to win.
Following his junior career, he continued playing at the collegiate level, competing in NCAA Division III hockey at the University of Wisconsin–Stevens Point and ACHA club at Indiana University where he graduated in 2013 with a bachelor of science in public affairs. His college experience developed his skills while gaining a broader perspective on leadership, preparation, and team dynamics. His playing career experiences now directly influence his approach to coaching and player development.
Coach Handy brings a strong combination of playing experience, coaching expertise, and commitment to mentorship. He is dedicated to developing the next generation of Brebeuf Jesuit Hockey student-athletes both on and off the ice.

Greg Morris has been immersed in the game of hockey for his entire life, developing a deep passion and understanding of the sport from an early age. He began his playing career with the IYHA, where he built his foundational skills before advancing to travel hockey with the Racers through his youth years.

His commitment to the sport carried into college, where he played club hockey during his freshman year at Wittenberg University, while also continuing to compete in men’s league play.
Transitioning naturally into coaching, Morris has dedicated himself to developing young players and growing their abilities and confidence in the game. He has spent years coaching alongside his son, Bauer, working with athletes from the 8U level up.
His coaching experience is highlighted by his position as an assistant coach for the 2024 & 2025 14U Jr. Fuel Black teams, where he continued to mentor and guide players with the same passion that has defined his lifelong connection to hockey.
